Glider

In September 2000, one of Civil Air Patrol's new (1999) gliders was moved into New York.

The glider is an L23 "Super Blanik" made by LET a.s. (a.s. = Inc.) in Kunovice, Czech Republic
and distributed in the U.S. by Blanik America.

The Super Blanik is a popular type. Its type certificate was issued in August 1989, and approximately 250 have been built to date. It is in use by over a hundred glider clubs around the world (list)

Unfortunately the L33 flight manual cannot be viewed on the web. Those who want their own copy can purchase a flight manual, part number L23-FM, for $31.00 postpaid from:
